Medina County ADAMH Board
Expands Hope Recovery Community Initiative
The Medina County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board (ADAMH) have announced the purchase of property to provide a location for a Peer Recovery Support Network and Hub that will operate throughout Medina County. Phillip Titterington, Executive Director of the Medina County ADAMH Board stated “this building will become home to Hope Recovery Community (HRC), a Recovery Community Organization (RCO), which will provide peer recovery support services and numerous other recovery supports out of the Hub. The Board has been working closely with HRC over the past year and we are excited to be able to provide the Hub. The HRC has built up a tremendous base and has already begun providing recovery supports. Part of the ADAMH Board’s long term vision is to see the HRC expand its membership, supports, resources, and meeting spaces throughout the County.”
The HRC initiative started as a movement in the recovery community and has rapidly grown and gained support throughout the county. The mission of HRC is to increase sustained recovery by providing hope, support, advocacy, and resources to those impacted by addiction. Hope Recovery Community envisions a thriving community where the healing, hope, and power of recovery transforms individuals, families and neighborhoods.
It is anticipated that HRC will move into the new Center this spring.
